I am happy to announce that a new research project "Discrete Geometric Analysis for Materials Design" has started based on collaborations between materials science and mathematics.
Creating materials with outstanding functions supports our affluent life and can change our lifestyles and values completely. Our challenge is to understand function-structure-process relations of materials by applying the latest findings of discrete geometric analysis to disordered systems and multilayered hierarchical systems, to clarify micro/mesoscopic structure and macroscopic property relationships, to change materials development from a forward problem to an inverse problem.
The project invites participation of researchers in various disciplines such as materials science, physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, computational science, mathematical science.
Looking forward to meeting and discussing with you.
